U Přehrady retirement home built by JABLOTRON celebrates 5 years

September 29th 2020 was the 5th anniversary of the opening of the first private retirement home in Jablonec nad Nisou.

The most costly public-benefit act yet in the history of JABLOTRON was created in response to the unavailability of services for seniors, who are no longer able to live without permanent assistance, in the company's hometown - Jablonec nad Nisou. The founder and co-owner of JABLOTRON GROUP a. s. Dalibor Dědek commented: “We decided to lead by example an show other successful companies that it is possible to benefit their surroundings by building a professional care centre for senior citizens. I think it is not fair to leave the solution to this issue on the shoulders of the state. We can help ourselves live in a better world. ” Jablotron bought the dilapidated building of the former hostel and canteen Jablonecké Bižuterie in the immediate vicinity of the Mšenská dam and reconstructed it into a very modern facility, creating about 70 new jobs and 110 new jobs for clients. We managed to build not only facilities with quality health and social care, but above all, a place where clients can feel good.

The operation of the home was first entrusted to the company Anavita, and after about a year it was taken over by the newly created company JabloDSJ in the Jablotron Group. Since 1 January 2019, the home has been operating as an independent non-profit organization called Domov seniorů U Přehrady, z.s. Today, the home is a fully self-sufficient operation, but in the event of a crisis, Jablotron is ready to help through its own foundation.

This year, Domov U Přehrady, like other similar facilities, is experiencing a very challenging period. We wish employees and clients luck and good health in coping with this difficult time.
